Episode 8 - Until We Meet Again

 Day 8

The Cave: 4 am in the morning:

???: Robert...

Roberts wakes up: Hannah? Is that you?

Hannah: Yeah, it's me...

Robert hugs her: Aww... It's good to see you! Why are you here?

The Cornucopia:

Loki wakes up very hungry! And then he hears a voice in his head: Check your pockets...

Loki: What? *He feels through his pockets and finds an apple* Where did that come from?

As he eats the apple he hears the voice in his head again: You only have today left to get food otherwise you will certainly die tomorrow! (Loki used his immunity)

Loki quickly searches around the cornucopia but alas no food. He decided to leave the area before the other tributes arrive.

The Forest:

Leif decided to leave the forest early.

And Rosco is not far behind him...

The Swamp:

Maple also leaves the place early where she stayed after the crocodile disaster. She can't believe that she survived 3 disasters, 3 days in a row! First the flooding at the lake, and then the bees at the forest, and now the crocodiles at the swamp last night. Her guardian angel must love her very much! How is it possible to survive so many disasters and not die? 

The Cave:

And Diana found Robert dead. He died of hunger. It's a pity that Diana hasn't got food to share with him last night.

And she has to leave him there. The Capitol will uplift his body soon.

And then she walks away!

The Cornucopia:

Leif is surprised to get another gun!

And he disappears with it in the woods before anyone sees him... 

The Cave:

Rosco didn't even bother to go to the cornucopia and head for the cave. He heard that the tributes kept the fire ongoing in the cave so it must be very cozy in there...

And they were right! Look at that! He also finds a note that reads: Hope your tea tastes like meat! Love from District 9.

He first warms himself...

Before he serves himself a cup of tea...

Rosco: Mmm... Spill the tea, girl! *talking to his imaginary friend* And thank you District 9 for the tea!

And just as he finishes his cup and put it down on the table, the table and the tea set, and his chair vanishes in thin air and he falls down on the cave's floor! 

Rosco: Damn Capitol! How rude! *He just feels like Cinderella, now! And it isn't even midnight!*

 He quickly gets up, wipe his clothes with his hands, and then goes and warms his bum!

The Forest

Diana arrives at the forest and immediately sees the canning station at the shelter.

Diana: Wow! What is this?

She also gets a note that reads: Just do it like Grandma! Loves from District 5

She also got apples and other ingredients to make the jam.

And it's done. 

She also finds a scone in the cupboard.

Diana: What's on the menu today? *talking to herself* Delicious scones and jam!

Diana: Yummy!

Diana: Thank you District 5!

The Cave:

Loki arrives at the cave.

He saw Rosco at the fire and hope he isn't armed.

But Rosco wasn't so pleased to see him. He thought he could've had this place for himself!

Rosco: Who invited you here?

Loki: Hey dude! This place doesn't belong to you! It's public property! I don't need the invitation to come here!

Rosco: Ugh! I'm leaving! I don't want to share a place with a smelly rat like you!

Loki: Wow! Now you are insulting me too! Just if you smell fresh like perfume and rosey!

Rosco: ...

Rosco just turns around and leaves the cave!

And Loki gets a surprise when he turns around from Rosco. A grill had appeared and a note that reads: Just don't put the grill on fire! Love from District 10

Loki: Mmm... That's nice! But what must I grill? My weenie?

But miraculously, a dish with links appears in his hand. 

And he can start barbequing.

And then it's done!

He goes and sits on the tree stump that Robert dragged into the cave to enjoy his meal.

Loki: Thank you District 10!

The Forest:

Maple arrives at the forest and sees Diana at the firepit. 

Maple isn't sure if she wants to join Diana or go somewhere else on her own. But the fire looks so inviting and she is freezing cold after her stay in the woods near the swamp without a fire last night. Damn, crocodiles! They scared the hell out of her! 

She decided to join Diana at the fire and then also heard the sad news about Robert.

Maple: Aww... It must have been hard on you? First Hunter and now Robert.

Diana: Yep it isn't easy to see someone near you dying. And Hunter's death is my fault! I don't know how I will ever live with it! Maybe it will be better if I die too in the arena...

Maple: Don't say that! We all have something to live for...

Later on that day Diana and Maple decided to make an igloo. That will also help them shelter from the cold tonight.

And after that, they warm themselves at the fire. Their hands are freezing from the ice! And Maple's bum too!

The Cornucopia: 

Late that afternoon Leif decided to return to the cornucopia. He did notice that no one else has visited the place at all today. If his sums are correct there are still 6 tributes left. Himself included. And by the looks of it, he is all alone here at the cornucopia. Nobody is here that he can kill with the gun in his pocket.

Leif: Oh well, tomorrow is another day! Then I will get my chance!

Or will he? 

Leif: What is that? *looks up in the sky and notices a dark shadow coming for him*

Leif: Noooo!!!!

And then a white flash!

The Forest:

Maple and Diana were chatting next to the fire when the music starts...

And they watch as the profiles appear in the sky

Robert was the last tribute of District 12 that survived the arena.

And Leif was the first tribute of his District to go... There is still one left.

And with that, I will end the episode just here!

What will tomorrow behold? Will there be another disaster? Or will someone kill another? 

Will Maple get food tomorrow or will she finally meet her maker?
